Hindi-speaking caregivers in Mississauga.
Home care in the language your family lives in: Hindi-speaking caregivers across Mississauga and the GTA, with Punjabi, Urdu and Tamil speakers on the same team. Care plans in writing. Care can begin in as little as 24 to 48 hours.
Who we let into your home is the whole decision
Care that sounds like home.
Families usually call us after trying the other kind: a kind caregiver their mother couldn’t talk to. Meals half-eaten, instructions mimed, a week’s worth of small worries that never got said out loud. Then someone greets her in Hindi, asks the right question about the right grandchild, and the whole room changes.
Our Hindi-speaking caregivers cook the food your parent will actually finish — dal that tastes like home rather than like a recipe, roti made fresh instead of reheated, khichdi on the days nothing else appeals. They know Karva Chauth and Diwali change what a week looks like, and that a fast day is not a day to push a heavy lunch.
They also know Mississauga. A caregiver who has worked Malton, Cooksville and Erin Mills understands that a parent near Hurontario has different problems from one out past Meadowvale — how far the nearest temple is, whether there is a grocery within walking distance that stocks the right atta, which bus a daughter is taking after her shift to get there.
If your family moves between Hindi and Urdu at home, that is not a complication. Spoken, they overlap almost entirely, and several of our caregivers work comfortably across both. Tell us how your family actually speaks — not which box to tick — and we will match to that. If Urdu is the household language rather than the second one, we have a page on that, including how Ramadan and prayer times get written into the plan.

24h — care can begin
From first call to first visit, often the next day.
“Theek hoon” is not the same as “I’m fine.”
Politeness is built into how a lot of our parents answer questions about their own health. A caregiver who only hears the English translation hears agreement.
Ask many Hindi-speaking elders how they are and the answer is theek hoon — I’m alright — almost regardless of the week they have had. Complaining to a stranger, especially a younger one, is not how that generation was raised. The information is still there; it just arrives sideways, in the phrasing rather than the words. Thoda bhaari lag raha hai about a knee. Bas, khaana kam ho gaya hai about an appetite that has quietly halved.
A caregiver who grew up inside that register catches those. She knows that being told the food was bahut achha while two-thirds of it goes back in the fridge is a report, not a compliment. Those small readings reach your care manager, and things get dealt with while they are still small.
It matters more, not less, with dementia. English usually goes first and Hindi stays longest, so a parent who has been managing in English for forty years can arrive at a point where only their first language reliably reaches them. Read about our Mississauga memory care →
Everything home care covers, in your language.
Often $0 for newcomers and after accidents.
Many families on this page are supporting parents who arrived in Canada recently. If your parent is a newcomer under IFHP, or needs care after a car accident (HCAI) or workplace injury (WSIB), a qualifying program may cover some or all of the cost. When approved, we bill the program directly. Anything a program does not cover is quoted in writing before care begins.
IFHP · newcomers
May provide coverage for eligible newcomers; billed directly when approved.
HCAI · after a car accident
Attendant care through your auto insurer.
WSIB · after a workplace injury
Personal care your claim may fund.
